Repairs are the biggest part of our business, and we take every one seriously. Whether we're fixing your flat or overhauling, repacking, chasing, facing or replacing every part of your bike, every repair is special.

A lot of people ask us "how much does a tuneup cost?" The only real answer to that question is that it's different for every bike, and every rider. If you bring your bike in, we'll give it an inspection (for free) and an estimate of what it needs, and what that will cost.

Once we agree on what we're going to do, we may or may not be able to work on your bike right away. Time of day and day of the week will both affect this--weekends are usually crowded in any bike shop. If your bike needs more work than we can do on the spot, you can leave it with us until the scheduled time of repair, or take it with you and drop it off on an agreed date.

OK, with that introduction out of the way, here are some sample prices for repairs. These are fairly standard, but of course they may vary depending on the bike in question. In general, our shop rate is $60/hr. Please note that with the exception of a flat fix, none of these prices include any parts.

Flat fix: $12 (includes the tube and tax)
Adjust brakes: $5 and up (per brake)
Adjust shifting: $5 and up (per shifter)
Wheel truing: $10 or more, depending on severity.
Performance and safety tuneup: $55 (true wheels, adjust brakes, shifters, bottom bracket and headset)
